Indications

  • Flaxseed Organic 1000 is an organic flaxseed supplement containing 1000mg of flaxseed. Flaxseed oil contains alpha-linolenic acid (omega-3), linoleic acid (omega-6) and oleic acid (omega-9) fatty acids.
  • Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA)and linoleic acid are essential fatty acids (EFAs). Essential fatty acids cannot be made by the body and must be obtained from the diet. Essential fatty acids are important for cell membrane structure and function.
  • The unbalanced ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids found in today's Western diets is implicated in many health conditions. Flaxseed oil helps balance the ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids, which is beneficial to health.
  • Flaxseed oil is the most concentrated known plant source of the omega-3 fatty acid alpha-linolenic acid (ALA).
  • Flaxseed Organic 1000 helps maintain a healthy cardiovascular system.
  • Flaxseed Organic 1000 help reduce inflammatory compounds in the body associated with joint and cardiovascular health.
  • Essential fatty acid deficiency may result in dry and scaly skin.
  • Flaxseed Oil 1000 may assist in the relief of dry eyes. Flaxseed oil may be used for the prevention and treatment of essential fatty acid deficiency.

Directions

Adults and children over 12 years - Take 1-2 capsules, 3 times daily, with food or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Children under 12 years - Give 1-2 capsules daily, with food. Or as directed by your healthcare practitioner. Capsules may be burst and added to milk or juice.

Each vegetable capsule contains:

Linseed (Flaxseed) oil – Organic* 1g
  equiv linolenic acid (omega-3) 575mg
  equiv. linoleic acid (omega-6) 175mg
  equiv. oleic acid (omega-9) 175mg
Contains natural vitamin E
Does not contain added egg, milk, peanut, corn, soy, tree nut or animal products, gluten, lactose, artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives.
