Alfalfa is a member of the pea family and is aherb native to western Asia and the Eastern Mediterranean.
Alfalfa contains approximately eight enzymes that aid in the breakdown of foods and the assimilation of nutrients. Alfalfa is an herb rich in nutrients & protein, and is an abundant source of vitamins A, C, E, K, B1, B6 and mineral salts calcium, potassium, phosphorus and iron.
Directions: 0.5g - 1g of the dried leaf with 1 cup of boiling water per day may be taken as a tea.
Cautions: Not recommended for those using warfarin or in excessive amounts if pregnant.
