Sage is native to the Mediterranean region and I known to remedy appetite loss, excessive perspiration and sore throat.
Sage is a carminative and therefore has been used to assist in the treatment of gastric disorders. It has also been used to treat female conditions, such as delayed and painful menstruation.
Red sage also stimulates the muscles of the uterus.
Ingredients: Sage Leaves
Directions: Combine 1 cup of boiling water with 1 – 2g of the leaves to make a tea, infusing for 10 – 15 minutes. Drink 3 times daily
Cautions: Avoid completely during pregnancy. Avoid in cases of acute gastric disorders.
