Yerba Mate is native to Paraguay, and is cultivated in South America.
Yerba Mate is often used as a tea substitute as it is a natural source of caffeine. It is also a diuretic, and may be used in the treatment of rheumatic conditions.
Ingredients: Yerba Mate
Directions: To make the tea, infuse the dried herb in boiling water for 10 – 15 minutes, taking around 2 – 4g daily.
Cautions: Yerba Mate should be avoided in cases of hypertension, hyperacidity and peptic ulcer.
