Melrose Juice Concentrates are produced in Australia by extracting the juice from sound, mature fruits. The juice is then pasteurised and evaporated under vacuum.
Concentrating the juice by evaporation retains the natural sugars and minerals. There are no preservatives, artificial flavours, colours or sweeteners added. Concentrated apple and pear juices contain approximately 72% natural sugars.
Melrose Apple & Pear Juice Concentrates are about a third lower in calories than refined sugar by weight. For refreshing home-made lemonade add equal parts of lemon juice and your choice of Melrose juice concentrate to sparkling mineral water.
These juices do darken over time but their sweetness does not alter. The natural sugars are self preserving so it is not necessary to refrigerate after opening.
